Its not like I haven't been making art.
Honestly I have. I've just not put anything up in a long time. Currently working on two drawings right now, and about to start a 3rd. Right now though...right now its 2:30am and I feel older then 21 years, I feel like I'm too old to be staying up so late.
and I know that I'll head to bed, all tired and worn down from the long day, and then after I get settled under the sheets I'll look up at the ceiling and wish that I could stay in that moment forever and not be able to sleep. There is something amazing about the moment you finally lay your body to rest and you know that you are not expected to do anything for the rest of the night but sleep. And that's the important part, nothing is expected. You dont have to worry about anything, it can wait til the morning.
But then you realize the morning will come sooner and you long for the night to stay forever.
I don't ever want to deal with the next day. Then I stare at the ceiling, the lights, the shadows. I write stories in my head and think of feelings, people, and conclude that I should try and sleep to bring on the next day.
I have people to interact with, art to make and life to live.
and with that, I am happy.
Happy for the tomorrow.
